Financial Aid

Applications for fall graduate admissions are due by December 15

Students should regularly check the University's Employment Opportunities page for updated information on available Graduate Assistantships

Associate Professor Sheri L. Parks and Assistant Professor Psyche Williams-Forson are the Co-Directors of Graduate Studies.

American Studies has limited resources for financial support. Outstanding applicants will be nominated by the Department for fellowships. Additionally, the Department is often able to offer a limited number of teaching assistantships. Students who hold assistantships typically teach two sections of a 200-level, undergraduate American Studies course. Teaching opportunities may also be available in the summer and winter session terms.
