Official review of the Radical History Organization. Designed to provide a forum for discussing new perspectives on the study and teaching of history. Makes an effort to "resist the narrowing boundaries of professional history and the separation of the academy from social and political concerns." Each issue focuses on a single theme, e.g. feminist historiography, film and history. Publishes occasional bibliographies. Cumulated index published in October of '82.

Emphasizes articles on issues of race, class, gender, sexuality, and politics. Publishes a small but noteworthy review section as well as reader's guides to literature for special issues. For ex., Vol. 93, no. 2, was devoted to media activism and contained a bibliography on the topic. It also contained a review of multiple new works on racial politics and theory by Howard Winant (of Omi & Winant).
