Maryland's Ethnic Foodways Digital Archive Launch & Reception

American Studies | Center for Global Migration Studies | History Thursday, October 16, 2025 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm Taliaferro Hall, 2110 (The Berlin Room)

CGMS has been developing a digital archive to house student projects from the Maryland's Ethnic Foodways course (co-taught by Madeline Hsu and Psyche Williams-Forson). Now they're happy to invite you all to join them for a reception to celebrate the launch of the archive!

Dr. Hsu and Dr. Williams-Forson taught the first iteration of the class last spring and are launching the archive featuring student research and digital projects showcasing four local ethnic grocery stores in the DMV area: Guru Groceries and Chaat House, Eko International Market, Manila Mart, and Angkor Market. Students, staff, and GAs will be there to speak briefly about their experiences.
