Amst Faculty Rasa And Qrig Research Awards

Several AMST faculty projects have been recognized with RASA and QRIG awards for next year.

The Department of American Studies is proud to congratulate several of our faculty for being recognized with The Graduate School's Research and Scholarship Award (RASA) and the Qualitative Research Interest Group (QRIG) grant from the Consortium on Race, Gender, and Ethnicity:

Dr. Psyche Williams-Forson received a semester-long RASA for next year, which she will combine with a sabbatical to be able to work a full year on her next book project: "'Grandma Was a Bootlegger': Food Culture in a Rural Virginia Town."

Dr. Perla Guerrero received both a summer RASA and a significant QRIG grant for "Latinas/os and Asians Remaking Arkansas: Race, Labor, Place, and Community."

Dr. Jeffrey McCune also received a significant QRIG grant for "'Some Place Like Home': An Ethnographic Study of Homelessness Among LGBT Youth of Color."
