Congratulations to Ana Patricia Rodríguez! The associate professor in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese and affiliate faculty in the American Studies’ U.S. Latina/o Studies program was presented with the Outstanding University Faculty award from the Office of Multi-ethnic Student Education.
 Rodríguez received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Literature from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She has published numerous articles on the cultural production of Latinas/os in the United States and of Central Americans in the isthmus and in the wider Central American diaspora.
 The Office of Multi-ethnic Student Education asked undergraduates to write letter nominating teachers, tutors, mentors and exceptional students to be judged on their service to multi-ethnic students.
 A ceremony on April 23 honored the winners.
