ARHU Spring 2025 Commencement Ceremonies
The University of Maryland's main commencement ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 6 p.m. in SECU Stadium and livestreamed on commencement.umd.edu. Kermit the Frog will be the commencement speaker. After a sold-out visit to campus in Fall 2024 as part of our College of Arts and Humanities Dean’s Lecture Series, Kermit will return to the university to share an inspiring message with this year’s graduates.
In addition to the main ceremony, each graduate and their guests are invited to attend the individual ceremony for their school or department. At these individual ceremonies, graduates walk across the stage and have their names read. Schools and departments within the College of Arts and Humanities will hold individual commencement ceremonies on Wednesday, May 21, Thursday, May 22 and Friday, May 23, 2025.
